IMPORTANT NOTES from owner:
Maybe you feel... I have broken English. So I am sorry because of my grammar. I created this pages, with only my amateur opinion. So I don't take help of the other people. I used only some dictionary etc. I want to show, how build a boat with amateur ideas. If this pages help to other builders then I will be happy. I hope, you understand my foul language. Thank you...
Habib
Difficult but lovely twin year's story...
I started building a Vagabond in July 2000. When I received plans from post service then I started studies. I saw it detailed and very realistic. And I decided build that boat. Nejat gived to me an area in his factory. I bought plywoods and epoxy. First I have not find biaxial tapes. I searched too time. Finally I found in Marmaris. But it was 446 gr/m2 and 125 cm wide. Yes I bought that material. and I formed tapes with scissors. I used West System ,Sicomin and Turkish made Duratek Epoxy, Turkish Starwood marine plywood, Cotech, Selcom etc glassfibre and microfiber materials. I used fir, mahogany and spruce for many strip. But woods full coated with epoxy It is not contact with air. My boat was transported two time to another places. Sometimes I meet some difficult works. Sometimes I lived pesimistic sensations. I spend all my free times for building. I remember I am working hard in midnight with help of penlight. And I remember I am working so hard under the sun's warm, my sweats dropping on fiberglas and I kneel down on wet laminate. After, I turned my boat. and sanding, filleting, painting. And I turned again. Filleting sanding painting again...... One day she went to the seaside on the craned-truck. And... Finally... I was return to the sea and she was born on the sea.
